I want to create a website for reviews for streaming TV show/ movies. Do I do the least expensive thing and start out with a blog and grow into it or do I pay for a custom site? Thanks for your reply.

I recommend starting with a free site first to gauge demand for your product (product being yourself and how you review these shows). If you generate profit (revenue - costs, costs being your time and monthly fees for free website) then you can start looking into busting out more expenses. If you google blog starting websites you'll find a variety. Wordpress is one i have experience with and it works quite well in my opinion Publicada Hace 2 semanas

Hi Stephanie, As a small business counselor I have noticed there seems to be a belief that automation, the Internet and social networking can make the business succeed when in fact the real design of the enterprise itself is lacking (niche, market base, business plan, competitive analysis and financial forecasting) I hear from many clients who ask, "What Now?" having launched an enterprise that is going nowhere because they are driving the tools and not the car.Below is a simple test to develop your potential idea for a business.1. Do you have a product or service niche in mind? 2. Do you believe you have a market for 1 above and the means to reach it? 3. Are you willing to develop a business plan to validate 1 and 2 above before you launch? When you have completed the above definition and planning process you will then be in a position to astutely select the tools you wish to use along the way and apply them successfully. You will be able to network your vehicle, pick up riders as industry partners, and attract revenue fuel in the form of customers by marketing and social networking based on the thorough definition and content of your business plan. In short, don’t let technology make a monkey out of you and your idea as well as raid your treasury before you launch. Define your business vehicle and its journey first. Then pick the right technology tools to make a successful trip. Publicada Hace 1 semana

What is your intent? How are you planning to make money? If your intent is to have something that looks good when people arrive at your site, then go with whatever looks the best (you'd be surprised how attractive a WordPress site can be with the right template). If you will get money from ads, then I'd suggest building out a solid marketing plan (doesn't have to be more than a few pages). The second question is more crucial because you'd need to know if more people would prefer to read, watch, or listen to reviews in 2020 and beyond. Good luck! Publicada Hace 1 semana

Mr. Larson and Mr. Vincent, Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question. I have done market research of over 400 people (surveymoney) and there is interest from half of them. I did ask about video of reviews and the majority of them said no to videos. How am I going to make money is a good question. I was thinking of doing ads, but no, this hasn't been truly thought through, which seems like the most important thing to think about. I'm going to read more books on using the internet to get a better idea of how to do things. Publicada Hace 1 semana

Medium is a great place to blog for free - I have been blogging there for more than a year now. They have started a system where writers can earn money by the amount of interaction your audience has with your posts. Check it out! Feel free to contact me for more information. Publicada Hace 1 semana
