It depends on the kind of startup and who your target customer is. If your startup sells directly to individuals, you could use social media to target your target demographic by showing them relevant ads, promoted tweets or by directing them interesting news articles. If you startup sells to business, targeted advertising on LinkedIn, doing webinars and trade shows are the way to go. In some instances, cold calling might also work. Cold calling must be your last options, it could backfire badly if it doesn't work. Publicada el 27/05/am

Creating a free tool that will be useful for your target market and then promoting that tool instead of directly promoting your company can be effective. One example of this is HubSpot promoting https://website.grader.com/ when they first started. Don't know your business, but think about the possibility of doing something in this direction. Giving value at the first point of contact works better than asking for something. Publicada el 28/05/pm

Do a podcast, go on other podcasts, attend a Startup Weekend event near you https://startupweekend.org/, go to meetup groups in your area, social media, create a blog, ask your family and friends to spread the word, visit a local business, find a group of people that the startup product or service will benefit from and do a questionnaire, create a free webinar. Good luck. Publicada el 04/06/pm
