How to find a good location and a good landlord?
Hello everyone, My name is June Alsgaard. I am a family nurse practitioner. I started my own private medical practice about 2-3 months ago. So far, my biggest challenge is finding a good location as soon as possible. I have moved 3 times since Dec 2018. The first time was because landlord did not have full-time office for me when insurance company may ask it for potential inspection. Both second and third time were subleasing situation, and because sublandlord could not keep their word about contract, so eventually did not work well. I did found a medical building, seems in a good location. However, I heard couple of doctors there complained landlord. Is it a good idea to sign a 3-10 years lease if location is good but landlord could be potential hard to deal with?
I hope you can help me with tips of choosing a location, what should I pay attention when signing a lease with landlord of a medical building, and strategies for start up small practice to grow.
I am looking forward to hearing from you. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for your time.
