I want to start up a home management business that does exactly what the name suggests, right from house cleaning down to organisation. Any advice on how to go about it will be highly appreciated. Thanks

The business will handle professional home watch, grocery shopping when necessary, house cleaning, repairs, book keeping, bill payments, general organization and meal preparations.

Good Idea. Lots of people need help with all those things as they get older. Have you tried printing up an advertisement and putting it in neighboring mailboxes? It may be a little tiring but meeting the people you hope to help is worth a little extra courtesy. Or, going door to door talking to the older men and women and leaving your name and address and phone number with the people you talk to? I think the elderly would be the best customers because they really do need help. Keep a record of how much you spend on business things because these are business expenses that will limit how much you will pay taxes on.

Thank you Virginia, i truly appreciate your input. However, Uganda is an LDC where majority of the elderly had rather retire to their rural setups than live in the urban centers, and secondly, a very large number are barely in position to have such services because of financial constraints. Instead, they do most of these chores by themselves, or have their children do it for them. My target customers for now are the corporate youth who are much more into having fun without any limitations, willing to spend at whatever cost, and also the bachelors, and ladies with little to no training on how to maintain their household clean and organised. I guess my biggest challenge right now is convincing this category of people that i can manage their home needs, and being in position to maintain the few that i will get to help me market my services better in the future.
