Follow your value system. Examine your talents, your attributes and your affinities and develop an idea for a business that you would enjoy.

Give your start up idea the following test:

Do you have a product or service niche in mind?

Do you believe you have a market for 1 above and the means to reach it?

Are you willing to develop a business plan to validate 1 and 2 above before you launch?

If the answer to the above questions is yes than take the actions indicated, observe the results, then make an informed decision on whether or not to proceed. For further guidance on this type of planning, please see the answers to the following question here at the Micro Mentor Q&A Feature:

Well, Create an excellent standard. And customers will freely choose to buy from you than other companies. I still remember a time when we used to drive to a shop that was 5km away to get fast and reliable services just because the nearest ones you would stay for almost an hour to be served.

Adamu, hi. You have first to analize the market (1), and then - based on that - to create a business plan (2), including a marketing strategy (3), where your own website (4) coupled with social media could be good options for you. Keep in mind the objective of organic ("free") social media is to develop an increasing group of followers and clients through posting frequent meaningful content, and interacting with those who have interest on your products and / or services. However, be aware it is a slow process that demand time, discipline, patience, creativity and other attributes. You may want to consider, if feasible, to get / save some money for paid ads and have a hybrid approach for better results.
