Get two sheet of papers, on the first paper write your skill or product, on the second paper, write those who will be needing the services written on the first paper, now those on the second paper are your target market, to seize them, carry the skill or product on the first paper to the people on the second paper

We select target segments using three criteria: potential, alignment, and marketability:

-Potential: The size of the segment, which we calculate using the market sizing techniques we covered in the course series

-Alignment: The degree to which the core competencies required for the segment match our own. For example, Apple has unique competencies in design to ensure stylish iPhones

-Marketability: The ease with which we can communicate the unique benefits our offering delivers. For example, Apple creates bold, innovative ads which highlight the iPhone's virtues
