Don't start a business driving the tools & not the car - there seems to be a belief that automation, the Internet and social networking can make the business succeed when in fact the real design of the enterprise itself is lacking (niche, market base, business plan, competitive analysis and financial forecasting)
I hear from many clients who ask, "What Now?" having launched an enterprise that is going nowhere because they are driving the tools and not the car.
I take them back to the garage; design the auto to see if it can run and then apply the wrenches retroactively if that is possible. It is usually a traumatic experience and could have been avoided with strategic and business planning before launch.
Develop a marketing plan. You will be able to network your business vehicle, pick up riders as industry partners, and attract revenue fuel in the form of customers by marketing and social networking based on the thorough definition and content of your plan. Hi Santosh @Kenneth Larson The same what I was Planning to suggest you spoke my words.
But just to add in above. Santosh it happens that we start with an idea but we don't know the future of the product. Our idea can be wonderful but we should know the market acceptance too.
See even though you don't have any tech background you can be a Founder of a tech company. We have a wonderful example of Bill Gates in front of us. The product doesn't matter what matter is the Idea behind it. The product you can make from anywhere but what is an idea behind making is more important.
So First and foremost ready your PPT. Make a Business Plan. Step by step writes down everything. What problem you are solving. Is there any competition with the same or similar concept? What they are doing? how they are performing? what is revenue? If it's a unique Idea, Then look for the Market acceptability, Finalize your TG(Target Group) TG should be in numbers, And how much market share you think you can capture. Then make a revenue model.
Like this, you would be able to understand what your Tech Software or App or Product will give you in returns. If you are still confident enough after making a business plan then go an get an IT guy and make your Base. Hope It would be helpful.
