Brainstorming New Business Ideas

Help me brainstorm new business offerings.  I work as a government contractor in the Informaton Technology sector.  I hold degrees in Computer Science and Business (MBA).  I am a US Navy Veteran (Nuclear Program).  Extensive math / science background.  Simply put, I am tired of working for time and want to start a new business.  One option concerns bidding for government set-aside type contracts reserved for veterans.  I am asking for your ideas and advice.  My expertise is oriented to a services business offering.

What are you passionate about?  What excites you?  Think back to a time when you were "in the zone" in your work.  What were you doing?  What did it feel like?  Start there.

I am pleased to answer a good question from a fellow veteran.  You have many opportunities available to you.  Examine the web site at the link below which is an extension of my volunteer work and specific to the topic of small business federal government contracting.

You have many available avenues for pursuing your vision of your own enterprise.  Having traveled your path both to your current point and where you would like to go, I would be pleased to assist.   I have assisted many veterans in doing so.

Pick something that solves a problem or it is hard to enter and not everyone can do it cause it isn't an easy business.

When either of those happen, I see sucessful business happen.

I would recommend to start this process by following the steps below:

1) List down your key strengths

2) List down the existing problems you see around you that catch your attention

3) Map your skills to these problems and see if you can create a solutions

4) Check the feasilibility of the all solutions you have created.

5) Once you narrow into a few solutions, you can go a step ahead to do a competitor & market analysis. If you are not satisfied with the outcome. Start over from step 2.
