I recently retired after a 30+ year career in sales, marketing and merchandising management with Nike (19 years), adidas (3 years) and Easton (8 years). I also founded and ran my own executive search firm for three years. My career began in merchandising for a San Francisco based department store and 5 years in The Gap's corporate headquarters where I had merchandise planning and international management roles. I am now investing in sports start-ups via my association with Oregon Sports Angels. And I also host a sports oriented podcast called Heavy Hitter Sports: https://www.heavyhittersports.com/
How to work with me
What I can offer
Providing marketing, sales, merchandising and strategic planning advice. I am a good listener and I am eager to counsel and support entrepreneurs.
My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship
I love to learn. So getting to know entrepreneurs and new businesses interests me. I would like to establish an open, honest and constructive exchange of ideas. But I am also an achiever so I am happy to dig-in and help business owners tackle vexing problems and challenges. Both sides in a mentorship need to listen, ask good questions and be candid. And we should have some fun along the way.
How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start
