How I can help

My professional background

Experienced Strategic Communications Leader with over 12 years of experience overseeing Marketing Teams and Communications Strategies in New York City and DC, with strong skills in Brand, Digital, Social, Experiential, and Partnership Marketing. Graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

How to work with me

What I can offer

Someone who loves teaching, engages well and empathetically with others, and has a wide range of skills and experience with various forms of marketing strategy -- from brand strategy, to media channel strategy, to digital strategy, to business strategy. I am looking for opportunities to provide guidance -- to "teach them to fish" -- so that they can feel empowered to maximize their marketing opportunities.

My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship

Developing a relationship where I am a coach -- guiding my mentee through the thought processes that will improve their offering, providing them with the frameworks and tools to improve, and keeping in touch often enough so that we can collaborate continuously on how to keep improving.

How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start

Nothing more than being open and honest when answering questions and starting our conversation. It would probably be helpful to have any relevant documents or presentations on-hand (e.g. business plan), but by no means should they feel compelled to share sensitive or proprietary information if they aren't comfortable.
