What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

I feel overwhelmed by amount of work, ideas and tasks. I am looking for a mentor with an experience of starting an agency that could help me navigate to getting my first client.

At the very least, how can I re-position myself as a web developer where I can charge higher rates. Thus would buy me more time and energy to work on original goal: building my digital agency. At times, I feel like leaping into digital agency without income stream is foolish.

An objective outsider look and fresh new perspective from the industry expert could help me chose a clearer path.

About my venture

Kove Consulting LLC Started 2016

I started as a freelance web developer and have been an IT consultant for various small and large companies for over 10 years. But my professional career came to a screeching halt.

I am determined to make a leap from being an [underpaid] technical freelancer (programmer) to running an agency on my own.

Ideally, I want to focus on small to mid-size businesses and help them get more leads. I want to build a team and move away from cheap gigs (with painful scope bleeds) to finding legitimate clients.

Few things I am struggling with right now: 1) Juggling existing clients, side gigs and old clients which are draining energy, time and emotions out of me - I feel I cannot drop or let go in fear of losing income. 2) Finding effective strategy to build an agency without going hungry. I feel overwhelmed with business advice I learned from various sources. 3) Prospecting for new clients on a fiscal and timely budget (because, #1)
