What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

The major challenge I face is coping work and the project when the project grows bigger

Actions I’ve taken so far

I got help from my wife to assist look after the project. So far I have 26 chickens and I hope to increase the number soon. None has died and all are very healthy.

My future goals

To grow the project into a multimillion dollar project through diversification.

My motivations to work with a mentor

I believe my commitment to this will be a great motivator both to my mentor and myself

About my venture

Started 2020

I am running a small back yard project of rearing free range chickens. I purchased 26 boschveld type of the free rangers on the 31st of August 2020. My research showed that this breed is good for meat and eggs hence i am targeting the festive season for my first sales. They start laying eggs when they are about 19 weeks old. I am planning to add another batch when the current one is about 10 weeks. Market for the chickens is there and i believe with the right mentoship i will be able to grow this project. I do go to work full time and i run this time. My wife is helping in taking care of the chicks when i am at work.
