What I need help with
My background as an entrepreneur
My current challenges
Currently, challenges we face include: - seasonal business : sustaining business during dry periods (non-junkanoo months - March until September) - ways to introduce products that capture a different market that will sustain business year round instead of seasonal - marketing properly to reach the maximum target audience possible
Actions I’ve taken so far
- creating plans/ideas on introducing other products that would not only benefit Junkanoo creatives, but a wider spectrum under the arts
- Research
- Networking
My future goals
- Impacting the Community in a Positive light yearly
- Being able to impart knowledge and passion of our culture to others
- Grow from a small business to a large business (Michael's / Hobby Lobby of the Bahamas)
My motivations to work with a mentor
At Krafty Krafts we feel motivated that a mentor is essential due to: - us being a small business, we want to learn from a different perspective how to grow our business - to guide us in training efforts, and expand our knowledge on particular areas to lead to positive community impact - maximizing what we have to be able to compete or stand in a corporate arena with larger businesses
About my venture
Krafty Krafts Started 2017
Providing an outlet for craft and Junkanoo supplies in Grand Bahama to artists, creatives, Junkanoo enthusiasts, to further their creative undertakings. Krafty Krafts developed from a passion for Bahamian culture and wanting to close that gap consumers endured in Grand Bahama for years, having to import items, and supplies from Nassau for Junkanoo.
Countries of operation: Bahamas
